Kevin Shea Wild N Wacky X Modified Winner

news020429a.jpgWaterford, CT — X Modified driver Kevin Shea’s fortunes improved greatly Wednesday evening, as he celebrated his second 20-lap feature victory of the season. Having wrecked his car during a freak rain shower in practice the week before, Shea was ecstatic about being back in the winners circle. “There were a lot of late evenings last week putting this thing back together, my crew was really great about it,” said Shea. “Tonight it was all about setting our marks and hitting them. I’m really happy, especially after what happened to us last week.”

Richard “Bubby” Brouwer & Chris Drouin Jr. completed the top-three.

Other feature winners were Greg Moran Sr. (Super X Car), Patrick Williams (X Cars), and, Jason Palmer (Legends).

It was an emotional second triumph of the season for Greg Moran Sr. in the Super X 20-lap main event. In victory lane, Moran dedicated the win to two close friends. “This win is for Andrew Tate, a member of the crew that’s no longer with us. It’s been a rough week – Andrew we all miss you. We also lost our number-one fan Debbie, and this is also for her.”

In 20-lap X Car action, it was Patrick Williams scoring a close win over Mark Caise, his first of the season. “My motivation tonight was points – I don’t want them gaining anymore on me. Also, it was great to turn things around tonight after the last few weeks, which didn’t work out in my favor,” said Williams.

Jay Palmer took the Legends 20-lap feature over Chris Bakaj and Ryan Morgan, his fourth Wild ‘N Wacky victory of the year. “Tonight, things fell into place well for us. I wasn’t too sure it was going to work out that the way things were going up-front early in the race,” commented the winner at the conclusion of the event.

Tyler Pagnotta emerged victorious in the “Toll Booth Race”.
