Pro Four Modifieds Announce 2008 Schedule

The Pro Four Modifieds of New England Racing Series is pleased to announce its action packed 2008 schedule of 15 race events. These dates take the series to seven tracks in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine.

The Pro Four Modifieds always provide exciting side by side racing at every track they go to and 2008 will not be an exception. 2007 Pro Four Modified Champion Norm Wrenn looks to defend his title against formidable competition.

Among those competitors looking to claim the 2008 Championship are:

2006 champion George Sherman

Pro Four Modified Rookie of the Year Phil Lausier

The always fast Richardi brothers, Dave and Rob, Jr

Two time 2007 winner Corey Cleary

Founding member Dan Meservey

2007 Limited Pro Four Champion Brian Vincent looks to make the move up to the Pro Four Modified division and should prove to be a contender as well.

The Limited Pro Four Modified Division continues to grow again in 2008. As many other series look for way to develop talent and grow their divisions, this “feeder”division was first introduced on March 13, 2004 as the Limited Sportsman entry. In 2007, it was renamed and is referred to as the “Limited” Pro-Four. The “Limited” Pro-Four is the brainchild of former Presidents Joe Lemay and Tony Mendoza, and is promoted as a less expensive alternative to introduce more racers to an open wheeled touring racing experience. The “Limited” Division has in addition to limited specifications, a 200 lbs weight break and its own Championship Points. The “Limited” Pro-Fours compete at the same time as the Pro-Four Modifieds, creating a “race within a race.” Joe Lemay, Stan Mertz and newcomer Billy Joerres are among those looking to compete for the 2008 Limited Pro Four Division championship.

We look forward to all the new drivers and teams that are expected to join the series in 2008 from all over New England. The upcoming racing season brings the Pro Four Modifieds of New England Racing series to new tracks and exciting events that should make 2008 a year to remember.
