From Politics to NASCAR, New Hampshire Hosts the Most Important “First Races” of 2008

From Politics to NASCAR, New Hampshire will be the host for three of the most important “first races” of 2008, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials are in the middle of all the action.

Tuesday, voters in the Granite State will head to the polls for the “First-In-The-Nation Presidential Primary” race. On June 29, New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) will host the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LENOX Industrial Tools 301, the start of the “Race to the Chase” for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. September 14 at NHMS is highlighted by the SYLVANIA 300, which is the first race in the “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup” Series Championship.

Hartford’s Marc Guerard Wins Two Sprint Features

Burritt, Charland, Jacobs, Yardley Share Mototown Inaugural Wins

Windsor, CT — Marc Guerard, of Hartford, Conn., rose above his four fellow Bud Light 12 Pack Race Series inaugural victors by winning the 1,200cc mini sprint and 750cc micro sprint features at the indoor Mototown Speedway Sunday night.

Guerard took the lead from Jimmy Broderick on the 1,200cc mini sprint main’s opening lap and endured 15 cautions to win the 12 Pack Series headliner. The Cammella Racing No. 95 Henchraft- Suzuki GSXR pilot outran Pat Kuerner and Rich Wood., Jr. after 24 laps on the clay one-quarter-mile indoor oval.
