Coby Fastest In SK-150 Qualifying

Waterford, CT — Doug Coby set a new event record Saturday turning a 14.105 seconds lap in qualifying for tomorrow’s SK-150 at the 12th annual Budweiser Modified Nationals.

Qualifying 14th in line, Coby bested Kenny Horton and Matt Hirschman, the latter two posting identical 14.124 seconds laps. The top 20 times move into the $20,000 Modified Nationals.

Dennis Gada (14.224) and Jeff Pearl (14.295) led the “home team” with the fourth and fifth fastest laps respectively. A redraw tomorrow will determine the top-10 starting positions.
