Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Motor Speedway is once again making plans to participate in NASCAR Day on May 16. Funds generated from NASCAR Day will benefit The NASCAR Foundation, which supports over 30 driver and industry charities.
To commemorate the fifth-annual celebration of NASCAR Day, Stafford Motor Speedway will host a pit-crew challenge. Participating fans may sign up at the Collectible Booth on the midway on May 16. Cliff Nelson of ECI / Cliff Nelson Motorsports is donating $100.00 for NASCAR Day and Cliff is challenging all Stafford teams to match his $100.00 contribution and make NASCAR Day 2008 at Stafford the best NASCAR Day yet!

Newburgh, NY — With the impending rain in the forecast for this evening the Lee USA Speedway Management was forced to make a make a tough call by canceling all racing for Friday May 9. With the ever rising cost of fuel the Speedway did not want the race teams to make the haul only to have to turn around with out making a lap. With mother nature being so unpredictable it is always a tough call to make.
The next stop for the Allison Legacy North tour will be next Saturday night May 17 at the fastest quarter mile in the east, Monadnock Speedway. Come out and enjoy yourself to some of the best racing in Northeast with Monadnocks weekly show and the Allison Legacy North Race Series.

Stafford Springs, CT — Due to inclement weather, Stafford Motor Speedway has postponed its May 9th New England Dodge Dealers Late Model 100 program to Friday night, June 27th.
Stafford Motor Speedway returns to racing action next Friday night, May 16th with a Whelen All- American Series racing program. Stafford’s SK Modifieds®, Late Models, SK Light Modifieds, Limited Late Models, and DARE Stocks will all take to the track with heat and feature events.

Thompson, CT — Thompson International Speedway race teams will now have an opportunity to drive under the new Thompson lighting system one week before the regular Thursday night Thunder series opens for the summer.
Speedway owner, Don Hoenig, today announced that he felt it was important for the race drivers and their teams to be introduced to the new “bright lights” before the regular season begins. “This will give drivers a chance to get a good feel for just how racing under the new lights will be. To some drivers, this may be a significant change. We feel that by moving the hours of our open practice to later in the day, drivers will be afforded this opportunity before they race in competition under the new lights the very next week. As a result, the track will open at 3 PM on Thursday, May 15th and the open practice session will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM,” Hoenig said.
