Sprint Cup Points Leader Kyle Busch Teams Up With Bono Mannion for NH Mod Race
Mooresville, NC — NASCAR star Kyle Busch and Kevin Manion, crew chief for driver Martin Truex Jr. in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, are fierce competitors on race weekends. That will all change during Saturday’s New England 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway when Busch pilots Manion’s No. 7 entry in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event.
“I’m really excited to have Kyle driving our car,” said Manion. “As everyone knows, he can drive the wheels off of anything so I expect us to be competitive on Saturday. We’re not racing for points so Kyle can just go out there, have some fun and let it all hang out.”

Woodbury, CT — “Chick” Stockwell, 9 time Danbury Racearena champion and 6 time most popular driver suffered a devastating loss on the evening of Tuesday, June 12th. With a single bolt of lightning all of his trophies, pictures and memorabilia were destroyed in the resulting fire.. Left behind were piles of blackened ashes, the sum of everything he owned.
Sitting in his living room watching TV around 10:30 PM he heard a pop and the power went out. Under normal circumstances he would have just retired to his bedroom and gone to sleep. Noticing power still on in surrounding homes he went to investigate. Walking into the garage area of his barn he saw a glow coming from inside. Realizing there was a fire, he drove down to a neighbor’s house to try and get help. When no one answered the door, he drove to his son Tom’s house just down the road. After notifying 911, they returned to the barn. “We opened the door to try and save the stockcar and the Camaro. The smoke was so thick all we could do was stand and watch.”said Tom. “I stood there in tears until 4:30 in the morning.” “He lost everything.”
