Loudon, NH — Some lucky race fan will drive off in a new 2008 Chevrolet Malibu following the SYLVANIA 300 on September 14 as the grand prize winner in New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s latest, innovative economic stimulus program.
In addition to the car, twenty more guests will really enjoy their next trip to the supermarket as they share more than $6,000 of free Hannaford grocery cards.
The program will also reward 10 lucky fans with a pair of tickets and pre-race pit passes to the June 28, 2009 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the first event in the “Race to the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.”

Daytona Beach, FL — Four NASCAR developmental drivers will appear at the Columbus Clippers baseball game at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, Aug. 22 in advance of Saturday’s doubleheader of racing action at Mansfield (Ohio) Motorsports Park.
NASCAR Camping World Series East drivers Trevor Bayne, Jeffrey Earnhardt and Jesus Hernandez along with NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour driver Ronnie Silk will be in attendance on Friday. The drivers will sign autographs for Clippers fans entering the park from 6-7 p.m. The group will also be throwing out the ceremonial pitch prior to the Clippers’ game against the Richmond Braves, which starts at 7:25 p.m.

Huntington, NY — After maintaining a “top ten” standing while racing week to week for four different car owners this season, Jeremy Frankoski can finally “get back in the groove” knowing he has a solid opportunity in NEMA midgets. The 22 year old young gun will be competing as the newest member of the top ranked Bertrand Motorsports team and will pilot Tim Bertrand’s 47B midget at all seven remaining NEMA races in 2008.
“Everything has come together for us during the past two weeks,” stated Tim Bertrand. “With the help of some exceptional people in and around NEMA, we have been able to put together enough support to run the remainder of the 2008 season and hopefully give Jeremy a shot at some top finishes.”

Have you ever noticed that when we are hanging out with our friends we are more inclined to get involved with something crazy? Whether it is peer pressure or the desire not to be singled out or for the sake of saving face, we agree to do things that are questionable. Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I was thinking the other day about some of the stupid things we did as kids. The bunch of us would get together and who knows what we would come up with. You can be sure it was something that would only make sense to a bunch of teenage boys. I can hear my mother now, “What in the world were you thinking? If all your friends jumped off a bridge would you?” I didn’t tell her, but probably.

Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Motor Speedway is back in action this Friday night, August 22nd with the second extra distance event of the 2008 season for the Late Models, the 14th Annual New England Dodge Dealers 150.
The first Late Model 100 of the 2008 season saw Dillon Moltz record what was his third consecutive victory on June 27th. Moltz took the lead from Joe Rzeszutek on lap-67 and led the rest of the way to take the checkered flag.
