Waterford, CT — Heavy rains expected to blanket New England throughout the weekend prompted Speedbowl officials to cancel Saturday evening’s race program. The decision to “pull-the-plug” was made Friday afternoon.
Action resumes at the shoreline oval with the season-ending Town Fair Tire Finale on October 3, 4, & 5. A record thirteen divisions are slated to take the green with championship honors still up for grabs for many of the Bowls’ weekly competitors.
The season has presented one of the most competitive Saturday-night campaigns in the tracks fifty-seven year history, with forty-three different drivers visiting Town Fair Tire victory lane.
