Allison Legacy North Heading Into Final Racing Weekend of 2008

Newburgh, NY — The ALNRS heads into their final race weekend of the 2008 season. With the 2008 ALNRS Championship hanging in the balance between Randolph, VT driver Dylan Smith, the series current point leader and Dighton, MA driver James Logan and Taunton, MA driver Shane D’Agostino. Logan trails Dylan by a mere 49 points. Logan had held the point lead for the entire season before heading into the September 20th race at Monadnock Speedway were a DNF in the heat race and a mechanical failure in the feature left him trailing Dylan by 17 points. With the final race at Twin State Speedway being double points, James still holds a mathematical chance of regaining the top spot and clinching his first championship. Dylan, on the other hand heads into this weekend’s New England Outdoor Furnace Fall Challenge with a 49 point lead. With that, Dylan would simply need to finish 9th or better to clinch his first ALNRS Championship. Also from a mathematical standpoint D’Agostino has a chance at clinching his first title as he trails Logan by 10 points and Dylan by 59 points.

Also up for grabs is the ALNRS aDP Rivet Rookie of the Year. This is fierce battle between four drivers. Currently Northport, NY Driver David Schneider is in the lead 13th points ahead of his younger brother William and 16 points ahead Wakefield, NH driver Mellissa Fifield. Also in contention is Bennington, NH driver Kyle Poodiack who trails David by 34 points.

So come out and join the ALNRS as we crown our 2008 Allison Legacy North Series Champion and our 2008 Allison Legacy North Series aDP Rivet Rookie of the Year.
