Beaulieu & Tripp win, Darling leading as rains came

Seekonk, MA — The rains came earlier than hoped, but later than expected, and put a halt to the 75 lap qualifier for the Pro Stocks. The winner of the event will become a guaranteed started in the Cerelli Marketplace PASS 150 on August 15, in addition to the $2,000 share of the purse. Dave Darling was the leader when the third caution came out.

Tom Scully Sr got the jump at the start and took control of the race. Mike Brightman hang tough on the outside, and as they came across the stripe on lap two, the two touched, with Scully spinning the East Coast Collision Chevy into turn one. Jim Rosenfield was involved as well. Ken Spencer lined up next to Brightman, and the two raced side by side for the lead, with Spencer jumping out front after two laps. Jeramee Lillie was running third and moved to the inside of Brightman for second, while they were racing three-wide for positions four through seven. Fred

Astle and Dave Darling split Ryan Vanasse for position, putting Astle into fourth.

Sprint Cup Series Winner Kasey Kahne Headlines “Fan Fest” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Kasey Kahne, the most recent winner on the NASCAR Sprint Car Series, will headline the free “Fan Fest” at NewHampshire Motor Speedway on Thursday, June 25.

Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Richard Petty Motorsports Budweiser Dodge, will be interviewed by Greg Kretschmar, host of Greg and the Morning Buzz, and Jamie Staton, Sports Director at WMUR/ABC 9.

“Fan Fest” will also feature free grandstand admission for NASCAR Camping World Series East Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour qualifying, as well as a great evening of free entertainment.

Free Admission to Thursday’s “Fan Fest” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Loudon, NH — On Thursday, June 25, “Fan Fest” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will feature free grandstand admission for NASCAR Camping WorldSeries East Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour qualifying, as well as a great evening of free entertainment.

Whelen Modified Tour At New Hampshire To Be Broadcast Live

Race to be streamed on NASCAR Home Tracks

Daytona Beach, FL — Modified fans everywhere can follow all the race action from New Hampshire Motor Speedway June 27, as NASCAR has announced that the play-by-play audio for the New England 100 will be streamed live on www.nascarhometracks.com, the official site for NASCAR’s touring and weekly series.

Matt Carey and Jay Coffey, hosts of the “Carey & Coffey Show,” and Kyle Rickey will handle the broadcast of the New England 100 on Saturday, June 27 in Loudon, N.H.

Jody Tripp & Chris Beaulieu Cash In Before Rain Soaks Seekonk

Seekonk, MA — In a rain-shortened program at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday night Jody Tripp and Chris Beaulieu scored victories before showers moved in, stopping the ARC Pro Stock feature with 28 laps in the books.

In the 25-lap Seekonk Sport Truck feature second-generation driver Jody Tripp of Tiverton, RI earned his second win of the season, ending points leader Rick Martin’s streak at 4 in a row.  A crash on the final lap of the race caused a shuffle in the finish when Rick Martin and Lenny Guy battled for second and came together in turn 3.    John Paiva, Jason Heroux, Brian Murray, and Kyle DeSouza rounded out the top 5.

Christopher Beaulieu of Woonsocket, RI picked up his first career win in Street Stock action over Sparky Arsenault, Paul Lallier, Mark Henshaw Jr., and Jeff Amaral.  .  The driver of the black #79 did a burnout in celebration.
