NEMA’s Boston Louie Memorial, presented by Airgas up next for Seekonk Speedway

Seekonk, MA — On Saturday, August 8th, the NEMA Midgets invade Seekonk Speedway for the 13th annual Boston Louie Seymour Memorial, presented by Airgas. In what has become the biggest midget event on the east coast, midgets from all over the Northeast will invade the track that held the first NEMA event in 1953, hoping to put their names on one of the most important trophies in midget racing.

Randy Cabral is the most recent winner of this event, picking up The Louie 3 times in his career. Joey Payne, Nokie Fornoro and Bobby Seymour have all captured this prestigious trophy.

The NEMA Lites will also run, making the car count for midgets possibly into the fifties. The NEMA Lites have competed only once for this event, with Shaun Gosselin picking up the win in 2008. This will be the third visit of the year for the NEMA Lites., and the second for the NEMA Midgets.

The ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models, Street Stocks and Seekonk Sport Trucks will also be on the card for this event. General admission for adults is $17.00. Gates open at 4, with the first green flag dropping at 6pm. For more information, visit our website at seekonkspeedway.com.
