Captures third checkered flag of 2009
Asheboro, NC — George Brunnhoelzl III took another large step toward earning his first NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship by winning the Caraway 150 Saturday night.
Brunnhoelzl, who entered Caraway Speedway with a 76-point lead on Andy Seuss in the season standings, made the decisive pass for the lead on Lap 85 and held on through a green-white-checker finish to register his third win of the season by .974 seconds over Burt Myers.
After Myers crossed the line second, Frank Fleming, Jason Myers and John Smith followed to complete the top five.

Seekonk, MA — With a steady diet of rain falling on Saturday, September 12, 2009, speedway management was forced to cancel the events scheduled. With this cancellation, that leaves one more race in the chase for the 2009 championships. . As of this writing, there has been no make up date set for the Pro4 Modifieds, or the Pro4 Powder Puff Race for Breast Cancer Awareness and the Race Against Cancer.
The ARC Pro Stocks roll into their final night of points with three drivers fighting for the 64th crown at The Action Track of the East. Two time champion Dave Darling holds a slim 7 point lead over 3-time defending champion Fred Astle. Lurking another 15 behind is Tom Scully Jr. All three drivers have traded victory in the last three points events.
