Silk Takes New Hampshire 100

Fourth Career Win, First at New Hampshire

Loudon, NH — Ron Silk passed Reggie Ruggiero on the backstretch of the last lap and held on through Turns 3 and 4 to earn his fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory in the New Hampshire 100 Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Silk, of Norwalk, Conn., swapped the lead with Ruggiero three times and ran bumper-to-bumper in the last 10 laps, with Silk surviving the battle. It was his fourth career win and his first at Loudon. His previous three victories came at Thompson (Conn.) International Speedway.

Following Silk, the rest of the unofficial top-10 finishers were Donny Lia, Ryan Preece, Ruggiero, Mike Stefanik, Rowan Pennink, Ted Christopher, Ryan Newman, Erick Rudolph and Chuck Hossfeld.
