New Hampshire Motor Speedway Twentieth Season Schedule Taking Shape

Loudon, NH — Early major event announcements point to a festive twentieth anniversary season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2010.

NASCAR recently announced that the two most pivotal races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule will once again be held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  The LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on Sunday, June 27 will begin the 10 event “Race to Chase.”  The SYLVANIA 300 on Sunday, September 19 will begin the “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.” Since the inception of the “Chase” format, the speedway has always hosted the opening round of NASCAR’s playoffs.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series will be looking for their first repeat winner in 24 races at the 1.058 mile oval on Saturday, June 26.

Saturday, September 18 will see the return of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to New Hampshire in a 200 lap duel to the checkered flag.

Legendary NASCAR star Bobby Allison will serve as Grand Marshal for “Oval Days” as the 20th Annual Vintage Celebration begins on Tuesday, May 18.  More than 150 of the most famous Midgets, Sprint Cars, Champ Cars, Roadsters, and NASCAR stock cars will come to life bringing back memories of early racing throughout North America. 

Veteran competitors from the world of road racing will challenge the gnarly 1.6 mile road course starting on Friday, May 21.  The action will be friendly, but fierce as these vintage sports cars, formula cars, and motorcycles compete for bragging rights.

The Classic and Custom Car Show will bring the finest display vehicles from throughout New England to the speedway on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23.  Everything from early antiques to today’s “tricked-out” compacts will be shown and judged.

For fans of two-wheeled racing, the 87th Annual Loudon Classic on Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13 features the stars of America Sportbike Racing Association and the Loudon RoadRace Series looking to mark their mark on racing history at the oldest motorcycle race in North America.
