“The Magic Mile” to Kickoff Chase with ‘Boston Race Party’ at Samuel Adams Park

Loudon N.H. — Historic downtown Boston will take on a NASCAR look and feel tomorrow as “The Magic Mile” and Roush Fenway Racing will host the first ever ‘Boston Race Party’ at Samuel Adams Park. In conjunction with the weekend’s NASCAR race events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, located in Loudon, N.H. – New England’s largest sporting event – Roush Fenway will kick the weekend off with a four-team transporter parade straight through downtown Boston at 7:30 a.m. in the morning.

All four of Roush Fenway’s Sprint Cup show cars will be on hand at Samuel Adams Park (located between Faneuil Hall Marketplace and City Hall Plaza) for the event. Roush Fenway’s David Ragan will make an early appearance to meet with fans, and team owner Jack Roush and driver Greg Biffle will offer members of the media a ‘duck tour’ of the city.

They will then be joined by fellow Sprint Cup drivers Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards who will be made available for interviews with members of the media on hand. Kenseth, Edwards and Biffle will represent Roush Fenway Racing as they battle for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship during the “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup,” which begins Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with the SYLVANIA 300.

Joining the festivities will be track’s mascot Milo the Moose who will be on hand with giveaways and promotions highlighting the upcoming weekend’s events at the track.

This is the first event of its type for Roush Fenway, which is co-owned by New England-based New England Sports Ventures (NESV). As part of the weekend’s activities, NESN, also part owned by NESV, will produce a special edition of NESN Daily that will air at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, called – “Roush Fenway Racing: Welcome to Boston”. The special will feature interviews with Roush Fenway co-owner Jack Roush and the team’s drivers who are participating in the Sylvania 300 this Sunday.

“The Boston Race Party gives NESN Daily a chance to provide NASCAR fans throughout New England unique insight into the Roush Fenway family as they prepare for the beginning of The Chase at New Hampshire said Sean McGrail, NESN’s CEO and a Roush Fenway board member. “NESN is thrilled to offer fans this unique insider’s perspective on Roush Fenway’s plans leading up to the race.”
