CARQUEST Renews Elite Corporate Sponsorship with Stafford

Stafford Springs, CT — Coming off a 25-year sponsorship milestone, CARQUEST Auto Parts will return for their 26th consecutive season as the Elite Corporate Sponsor of Stafford Speedway. The partnership is one of the longest continuously running sponsorships in Motorsports.

Throughout the years CARQUEST has brought race fans memorable events at the Connecticut half-mile. The 2011 season will be no different, as CARQUEST will bring fans four exciting events starting with the 40th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler, April 29-May 1, and culminating with the 39th Annual Fall Final, Sept 30-Oct 2. The Whelen Modified Tour will highlight both events along with Stafford’s five NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions.

CARQUEST will also bring fans the high-speed action of CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday, on June 28th, which showcases the ISMA Super Modifieds, NEMA Midgets, and Pro-4 Modifieds. This is the 8th consecutive year for this open wheeled extravaganza. In addition, CARQUEST will host Stafford’s SK Modifieds® with the 8th Annual CARQUEST SK 150 on on July 22nd.

Throughout the 25-year history CARQUEST and Stafford have always tried to bring new events to the half-mile. For 2011 Stafford and CARQUEST have unveiled a very unique charity event, CARQUEST Champions for Charities, which will accompany CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program. Past and present open wheel champions will be racing Wild Thing Go-Karts on the Stafford Mini-Mile in the name of charity. Each driver will be raising money for their charities throughout the months leading up to the event and starting spots for the qualifying races will be set in order of the most funds raised. In addition to the four race events that CARQUEST Auto Parts gives their support to, they also are the title sponsor of the CARQUEST Belts & Hose Pit Parties, which are held during CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler Weekend and CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend. The first CARQUEST Belts & Hose Pit Party of the 2011 season will be held on Sunday, May 1st as part of the 40th Annual CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler Weekend and will allow fans to meet and greet with their favorite NASCAR drivers.

Tickets for the “Greatest Race in the History of Spring” are on sale now at the Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $35.00 for adult general admission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is priced at $38.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor Speedway offers free parking with overnight parking available.
