Feel the Racing Thrill; Drive Your Car Around “The Magic Mile”
Loudon, NH — Strap those seat belts tight, step on the gas and experience the same rush that the stars of NASCAR and INDYCAR feel at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, by driving your personal vehicle around “The Magic Mile” during FANtasy Drive 2 on Saturday, April 23.
If you have purchased a ticket to any of the major motorsports event weekends during the 2011 season, satisfy your need for speed and take three laps around the 1.058-mile oval. Not enough? Support a good cause by donating $25 to the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities for three more laps with the proceeds benefiting local children-related charities.
“FANtasy Drive is just a way to say thank you to all our fans for their enthusiastic support of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, said speedway executive vice president and general manager Jerry Gappens. “We hope the experience of driving your car around ‘The Magic Mile,’ provides an exciting and thrilling FANtasy come true.”
Following your drive around the speedway, celebrate with a photo in victory lane by hoisting a replica trophy, like 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series winners Jimmie Johnson and Clint Bowyer.
FANtasy Drive 2 is a free admission, ultimate fan appreciation day that includes; an egg hunt with New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s fun loving mascot Milo the moose, an American Red Cross blood drive, a magic show, Speedway Star national anthem singing competition, Grand Marshal competition, a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR and INDYCAR race control; television broadcast booths, luxury suites, the garage area and much more.
Fans can also take a peek at a 200 mph IndyCar during FANtasy Drive. Representatives from the IZOD IndyCar Series will also be available for a question and answer session, gearing fans up for INDYCAR’s only New England appearance.
