Schrader Named as Vintage Grand Marshal

Loudon, NH — Veteran NASCAR driver Ken Schrader will welcome thousands of vintage racing fans, during the 21st Annual Vintage Racing Celebration at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, May 18, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

One of the godfathers of racing, Schrader has a long history of success in all forms of racing and the Vintage Racing Celebration is a chance for fans to meet and greet a racing great.

Schrader began his racing career on local dirt tracks in the Midwest racing mostly open-wheel USAC cars, one of which he co-owns today, the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo.

He made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut in 1984. Since then Schrader boasts over 640 starts in NASCAR’s elite division including victories at Talladega in 1988, Charlotte in 1989, Atlanta in 1991 and Dover in 1991. Schrader also has starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the ARCA Series and numerous USAC events.

Schrader recently teamed up with New Hampshire native Frank Stoddard’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, behind the wheel of the No. 32 FAS Lance Racing Ford.

The Grand Marshal Barbeque is open to the public. Tickets are just $35 for adults and $30 for children 11 years old or younger. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
