SCCA Highlights NHMS Holiday Weekend

Loudon, NH — The New England Region Sports Car Club of America will zoom around New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s road course this weekend beginning Saturday through Sunday.

The SCCA will host its NERRC Triple Play and NARRC Double Play regional races at “The Magic Mile” with 20 minute qualifying sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning, followed by racing in the afternoon.

During SCCA weekends car enthusiasts can enjoy a wide range of sports cars including racing sedans, sports racers and open-wheel racers throughout the weekend.

During all SCCA event weekends, infield wristbands (good for the entire weekend) can be purchased at the speedway’s main gate for $25. Children 11 and under are free. For more information or to register visit http://www.ner.org/.

The green flag will drop on the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 Sunday. The cars and stars of the IZOD IndyCar Series have been preparing all year for this prestigious event. Coverage for the Indy 500 begins at 11 a.m. on ABC.

Charlotte Motor Speedway will host its Memorial Day tradition, the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday as well. Coverage for NASCAR’s longest race begins Sunday at 6 p.m. on FOX.
