Rain has postponed tonight’s Valenti Modified Racing Series event at Seekonk Speedway. No rain date is currently available.
Today’s NEMA and NEMA Lites program at Twin State Speedway, Claremont, NH has been rained out. No rescheduled date has been announced.
Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified® division took center stage with the running of the 38th Annual Coors Light SK Modified® 100. Ryan Preece took home the $2,600 winner’s check by taking the checkered flag in 38th Annual Coors Light SK Modified® 100, Dillon Moltz captured his second feature victory of the season in the 30-lap Late Model feature, Tommy Barrett, Jr. took down his third win of the season in the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, Kevin Gambacorta picked up his first win of 2011 in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature, and Josh Wood was a winner for the second consecutive week in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature.
The Coors Light SK Modified® 100 took the green flag with Mark Bakaj taking the lead ahead of Tom Bolles. Dan Avery moved into third, with Sean Foster fourth and Woody Pitkat was fifth. Bolles nearly had a pass for the lead on lap-4, but he fell back into line behind Bakaj.
Pitkat moved into fourth on lap-4 and he brought Eric Berndt with him past Foster. The caution came out with 9 laps complete as Bakaj went around in turn 3. Michael Gervias, Jr. also spun as he tried to avoid hitting Bakaj.
