Midget vs. Sprint Car in Champions Challenge at Bear Ridge This Saturday

Bradford, VT —  One of racing’s great questions – which is faster on a dirt short track, a Midget or a Sprint Car? – will be answered this Saturday night July 2 at Bear Ridge Speedway when a pair of champions go mano a mano in a two car match race.

In the First Annual Champions Challenge, Joe Krawiec, the 2010 Whip City Speedway Quad 4 Midget Champ, will represent the USAC DMA Midgets while former Bear Ridge track champ Kevin Chaffee will defend the honor of the SCoNE Sprint Car drivers.

Both drivers are at the peak of their games at Bear Ridge this season. Krawiec has two Midget feature wins and Chafee was the runner-up both times. Chafee also has a DIRTcar Sportsman Modified win to his credit this season.

The extra added attraction match race is the cherry on top of an already exciting schedule at Bear Ridge. A full series of heats and features for both the USAC DMA Midgets and the SCoNE Sprint Cars will mark the first time in history that the royalty of open cockpit racing have shared a bill in Northern New England. Stock Car fans will enjoy the double features for most of the Bear Ridge regular weekly divisions and everyone will be awed by the spectacular fireworks show from Noise R Us Fireworks. Adult admission is only $10, $8 for teens and seniors and $2 for kids.
