Former DARE Stock Competitor Barry Fluckiger Starts Chassis Business with Fluckiger Race Chassis

Stafford Springs, CT — Former DARE Stock driver Barry Fluckiger has started a new chassis business venture that will cater to Late Model, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock drivers from Stafford Motor Speedway. After lending his chassis expertise and skills on a limited basis over the past few seasons, Fluckiger has gone full-time and started Fluckiger Race Chassis after his family sold their Kar Kare business to Bolles Motors.

"My family decided to sell the business to Bolles, so I had to call it quits at Kar Kare and I decided to start a new venture," said Fluckiger. "We're going to focus on Late Model, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock cars. We can do anything that needs to be done to a car, we can build bodies, clips, complete cars, and we'll offer setup help. We also have a frame machine and we'll pull if necessary, we've already straightened several frames throughout the years."

Fluckiger has worn several different hats during the past few seasons at Stafford Motor Speedway, serving as an owner, a driver, and a crewmember, and in some instances, he has served in more than one of those capacities during the same season.

Fluckiger has also enjoyed a great deal of success in his limited time working on race chassis. Fluckiger was Norm Sears' car owner when he won the DARE Stock track championship in 2007 and 2008, while driving to three feature wins in his own car. Fluckiger and Sears have teamed up to win 2 championships, 5 DARE Stock feature events, and 4 Limited Late Model feature events. But Fluckiger's success doesn't stop with Sears. Fluckiger helped Al and Cliff Saunders each win 2 races during the 2011 DARE Stock season, and he was the crew chief for Josh Wood, who won 5 DARE Stock feature events this past season. Fluckiger also helped Duane Provost to record his first career victory in the Limited Late Model division this past season, and Fluckiger also worked on the DARE Stock cars of Andy Marchese, Katie Brice, Kris Fluckiger, and Brandon Michael, while also serving as a crew chief for 2011 DARE Stock champion Don Wood for several nights when Wood's regular crew chief, John Berardi, couldn't make it to the track.

"What started out as a hobby for me has now turned into a business," said Fluckiger. "I've helped several guys get to victory lane as well as winning championships, so if you're looking to get your car into victory lane, give us a call, we'd be glad to help you out! Right now we're working on some details to become the area distributor of Johnson Chassis parts and hopefully we'll have something to announce very soon on that front."
