Granite State Pro Stock Series Heads to Maine’s Unity Raceway

UNITY, ME — The Granite State Pro Stock Series will head to the Pine Tree State on Saturday, June 23 to visit the tricky one-third mile Unity Raceway in Unity, ME for race number two of the season. Over 20 cars are expected for the 112-lap main event and the series only appearance in the state of Maine in 2012.

Drivers from all across New England are expected to travel to Maine’s toughest oval, including 15-year old Derek Griffith of Hudson, NH. Griffith scored a second place finish in his first Pro Stock race in the season opening David’s House 106 at Monadnock Speedway.

Rich Eaton of Seabrook, NH, Mike Parks of Walpole, NH, Fran Colson of Gardner, MA, Carl Eriksson of Deep River, CT, Jay Sands of Seabrook, NH, Zig Geno of Canterbury, NH, and Barry Gray of Belchertown, MA, are all expected to attend.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series 112-lap main event will be accompanied by Unity Raceway’s regular card of racing. The pits gates will open at 2:00 pm, practice will begin at 4:00 pm with heat races starting at 7:00 pm. There will be an autographic session featuring the Granite State Pro Stock Series stars, as well. A Sunday rain date has been scheduled in case of inclement weather. Grandstand tickets will be $15.00 with children 10 and under are free.
