Brad Scott Memorial wins go to Ryan Vanasse, Jeramee Lillie, Mike Cavallaro and Chris DeMoura
Seekonk, MA — Warwick RI’s Ryan Vanasse picked up the lead during the middle portion of the 40 lap Pro Stock feature, and held off 6 time Pro Stock Champion Fred Astle and Tom Scully Sr in a late race restart to pick up his second Pro Stock win of the season. Kyle Casper brought the field down for the green, and Somerset native set the pace through the early goings.
Casper held off the charges of Tom Scully Sr for the first dozen laps before Dave Darling came through the field and challenged for the lead. While racing out of turn two, contact was made, putting Casper around. Darling was penalized for contact. Vanasse inherited the lead and set a torrid pace for the middle portion of the event. As the laps were winding down, a late race caution bunched the field for a 5 lap shootout. When the green dropped, Astle moved under Scully and made a daring 3 wide move under Scully and Vanasse. The A & A Auto Parts Chevy found some extra grip when most needed, and Vanasse was able to thwart off the challenge and held on for the win. Astle had to settle for second, while Darling worked his way back through the field for a third place finish. Scully Sr was fourth with Dick Houlihan fifth. Kyle Casper, Ken Spencer, Tom Scully Jr, Dave Silvia and Mike Brightman rounded out the top ten.
Jeramee Lillie of West Warwick RI broke a 4 year winless streak, picking up the win in the 30 lap Late Model main. Lillie took off from his outside pole starting position and never looked back. After holding off Ron Barboza Jr through an early race restart, Lillie took over and Hammered Down to pick up the Late Model win. Dylan Estrella moved into second early on, but could never quite close in the gap. Bill Bernard, Gerry DeGasparre and Bobby Pelland III rounded out the top five. Tyler Thompson, Dennis Stampfl, Barboza, Dave Hutchins Jr and Danny Thibeault rounded out the top ten.

Chris DeMoura finally broke through all of the bad luck that has been plaguing his team this season, and held off a hard charging Scott Serydynski for his first win of the season. DeMoura took off from his pole position start, and set the pace from the drop of the green. While DeMoura led, the challenges were closing in. Chris Rioux tried his hand at unseating DeMoura for several laps before Joe Koehler moved in and took over second. He raced wheel to wheel with DeMoura after a lap 16 restart, and was able to edge his black and orange Monte Carlo ahead on lap 17, but only for that one lap. He held onto second until he spun with less than 10 laps to go, when he spun while running three wide for second with Lovelace and Crystal Serydynski. Scott Serydynski moved into the third position on the restart, and moved right in on the leader. With less than 5 laps remaining in the 30 lap main, Scott moved to the outside and tried to take over, leading laps 26 and 27. DeMoura got wide coming out of turn 4 on the 28th lap, and took back over for good. Scott finished second, with Lovelace in third, Ken Bamford in fourth and Ryan Lineham fifth. Rioux, Sparky Arsenault, Scott Bruneau, Manny Dias and Crystal Serydynski were sixth through tenth.
Mike Cavallaro made it three for the season, as he moved past Rick Martin on lap 17 to take over the lead and the win. The four time Sport Truck Champion followed Martin into the top two on the opening laps, and started to pressure the 5 time Seekonk Champ. Finally, Martin moved up just enough to open the bottom lane enough for Cavallaro to take advantage. Once out front, the Seekonk native never looked back, opening up a half second lead by the time the checkered flag flew.
While the pair ran bumper to bumper, there was some heavy racing behind them, as Scott Dion, and then John Paiva took turns in the third position, squeezing past Darryl Church. That’s how they would cross at the finish, with Lenny Guy, Nick Uhrig, Jim Hawkins, Anna Gregoire and Chris Igo Jr rounding out the top ten.
