Derek Robbie Signs on with RAD to Fuel a Drug Free Future

Bellingham, MA — Derek Robbie, driver of the #27L Pro 4 Modified, announces he has signed on as a driver for RAD RACING (Racing Against Drugs), a branch of the National Center for Prevention and Research Solutions, a South Daytona based organization whose mission is the following:

Reach and educate our nation’s youth by Advocating through motorsports professionals a Drug free, healthy, lifestyle.

Realize a nation of drug free youth by Accelerating their potential using a Coordinated network of dedicated motorsports volunteers who will Inspire and educate, through community involvement, to teach kids to Navigate around life’s obstacles, using teamwork, goal setting and communication skills, which  will Guide them to make the right choices to get to the finish line.

“I’m pumped about signing on with RAD,” said Robbie. “It’s a good fit. I’m a junior in high school and this is a time in the lives of many teenagers when they’re tempted to turn down the wrong path with drugs and alcohol. I want to change that by showing my classmates, fellow racers, and the young fans that look up to me that you can still have a ton of fun without getting wasted. We hope to plan some kick-ass events at my local high school together with a few teachers and our local DARE officer, and we’ll be doing events and appearances together with our sponsors to support RAD throughout the year.”

Robbie’s current sponsors for 2013 include Baddass Inc., Thredz Unlimited, & Marshall's Jewelers, all in Bellingham, MA, Shibles Family Mattress in Belmont, NH, and Ugly Duck Communications in Scituate, RI. He would like to thank them all for coming on board to support his efforts on behalf of RAD.
