PASS Super Late Models & Mods Dropped from Canaan June 29th Schedule

CANAAN, NH — Canaan Fair Speedway General Manager, Dick Therrien, and Pro All Stars Series President, Tom Mayberry have come to a conclusion that it will be in everyone’s best interest to cancel the PASS Super Late Model, and PASS Mod portion of the Saturday, June 29th event due to the fact that the week leading up to the event is going to see considerable heavy rains and thunderstorms that will cause pit parking to become a major issue as Canaan’s car counts are very strong this year, leaving fewer parking spaces available for the giant PASS haulers.

“We didn’t want to have to park a lot of quality teams in a muddy parking area that would have made them quite unhappy, and we didn’t want to damage the solid relationship and friendship with the PASS Officials and racers, stated Therrien. We will however continue to present the Canaan Fair Speedway portion of the event with Monster Truck Mania, $1,000 to win for the Late Models, Pure Stocks, Bandits, Daredevils and Classic Lites, plus fireworks to cap off the evening. We will vary from our original schedule and produce a very solid night of racing, plus Monster Trucks and fireworks. Post time will still be 5pm.”

“Dick and I came to this agreement as the grounds are so saturated already and if we get the rain that they say we will this week it would turn into a real problem parking all the cars, as Dick’s weekly car counts are extremely solid, and things would be overflowing, commented Mayberry. We feel that this is in best interest of both programs.”

Adult admission has been reduced to $14 for Adults, $12 for Juniors and Seniors, Kids 6-11 will be $5 and Kids 5 and under are free. The pits will open at 1pm, while practice will start at 2:30pm, and racing will begin at 5pm sharp.
