Camping World to Sponsor Sprint Cup Series

NSCS to run Camping World RV Sales 301 on July 14

LOUDON, NH — Partnering with the nation’s largest retailer of recreational vehicles, New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced today that Camping World will be the title sponsor of the track’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, July 14. The Camping World RV Sales 301 is one of the two largest sporting events in New England, both hosted by the one-mile oval. The sponsorship is a two-year agreement.

Combining the avid support of race fans who camp at NASCAR events with its far-reaching dealership network and nation’s largest online camping store, Camping World continues to market its brand as the strongest in the RV business. With more than 75 locations nationwide and offering over 8,000 products and accessories, Camping World is the brand of choice for NASCAR fans and other recreational enthusiasts. Camping World has been the title sponsor of the NASCAR Truck Series since 2009 and was the previous title sponsor of four races at NHMS, including three NASCAR Nationwide Series races from 2007 – 2009 and the 2008 Camping World Truck Series race.

For the past six years, NHMS has been the host site for Camping World’s large display and accessories retail store which is located next to the infield tunnel during both NASCAR event weekends.

“This is a natural, tailor-made partnership,” said Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager at NHMS. “We have one of the strongest RV camping bases of any NASCAR track, located in a major market (Boston DMA) and a strong platform to help market the Camping World brand and its products. They have had a strong presence here at our track for many years and I am appreciative that Marcus (Lemonis) has chosen our facility to move up to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with their marketing plans.”

Camping World plans to use the sponsorship to strengthen its market share and relationship with the racing community.

“Camping World is involved with NASCAR on multiple levels and expanding our sponsorship to the Sprint Cup Series seems like the next logical step,” said Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World and star of CNBC Prime’s “The Profit.” “RVing is a huge part of the racing experience. We believe joining the New Hampshire Motor Speedway family will strengthen our relationship with the racing community.”

The green flag for the Camping World RV Sales 301 is set for 1 p.m. on July 14 and will be live on TNT and PRN.
