DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns to compete on the quarter-mile oval at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday, Oct. 10. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the tour and selected drivers at Charlotte, as well as some other statistical trends:

Charlotte Race Setup
• George Brunnhoelzl III brings a 32-point lead in the championship standings to the season finale at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Based on a 26-car field, Brunnhoelzl can clinch the championship by just taking the green flag on Thursday night to extend his tour record for titles to four.
• While Brunnhoelzl has a substantial lead in points, there’s a tight battle for other spots in the top five of the standings. Kyle Ebersole is in second with only a one-point advantage over Andy Seuss. Burt Myers is fourth, 15 points back of Ebersole. Tim Brown and John Smith are battling for the fifth spot going into the final race, with equal points.

NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour At Charlotte Motor Speedway
• Charlotte Motor Speedway has hosted three NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour events – with the tour visiting each year since 2010.
• The three tour events have resulted in three different winners – Burt Myers (2010), Tim Brown (2011), George Brunnhoelzl III (2012).
• Brunnhoelzl has won two of the three Coors Light Pole Awards (2011 and 2012), with Andy Seuss winning the other.
• Burt Myers is the only driver to finish in the top five in all three Charlotte tour races.
• Burt Myers and Frank Fleming are the only drivers to finish in the top 10 in all three Charlotte tour races.
• Brunnhoelzl has led the most laps of tour competition at Charlotte, running out front for 274 laps.
• Ten drivers competed in all three tour races at Charlotte.
