Street Stock Disqualified After Mini-Milk Bowl

Waterbury, VT — The 2012 Thunder Road Track Champion, Nick Pilotte, from Jefferson, NH was disqualified from the People’s United Bank ‘Mini-Milk Bowl’ after an engine teardown unveiled an illegal engine, according to the 2013 ACT rules for the Street Stock division. The violation was a mismatched set of pistons and heads.

During the same teardown inspection, Groveton, New Hampshire’s Jason Kenison was awarded the win. “We will have to examine the rulebook for 2014 as it relates to the Nissan 240SX,” said Dean Gallison, the ACT Director of Competition.

Third place finisher Tommy “Thunder” Smith from Williamstown, VT was torn down for the second time in the past couple of months and again was within the specs of the rulebook for the division. Smith was awarded second place following the disqualification.

Pilotte will lose purse, points for the season, and suspension for April-June events in 2014, if he chooses to compete at Thunder Road in 2014.

The Street Stock results from the 51st Milk Bowl, as well as the point standings, have all been adjusted and can be found at www.thunderroadspeedbowl.com.
