Big Field of Trucks Expected at Blastoff

The New England Truck Series is looking forward to what should be a great year of racing with a quality field of trucks going at it all season long. Defending champion Duane Noll brings back a very fast #2 machine to take on all challengers for the 2014 points title, which begins this Saturday March 28 at the Waterford Speedbowl. D.J .McGouran with another year under his belt has the # 73 truck ready to go and should be quick out of the gate along with Chris Correll in the fast # 7 Hooters Chevy and Bert Oulette is going full time in the Burdick motorsports # 151 ride after picking up a championship last year in the karts at Tri-State.

Mike Parker is ready to go in the # 93 truck as is Kendal Metcalf, a talented young lady, in the # 8 and don’t forget Ledyard, CT driver Cassie Coates in the # 98 who looked good in her debut last year while brother Corey Coates, a Speedbowl SK Modified driver, is expected to make a run for the championship in 2014, plus add Late Model driver Alan Coates to the list of former champions that plan on racing this year with NETS.

Trevor Lee Dyer is a top rookie candidate and a former Monadnock Speedway driver racing this season with NETS and Pete Cayer will return with a new look and a fast truck for 2014. SK Modified star Joey Gada has a new ride in the trucks this season on a part time basis and Modified ace Andy Lindeman returns this year also on a limited schedule in a very fast # 3 ride towed in from upstate NY.

Glen Noll in the # 72 will be back and looking for wins this year as will the #81 of Tyler Chapman from Mystic, CT plus Frank Dumicich Sr. and Jr. going at it in 2014. Pete Varricio Sr. returns with a new number 54 on the side of his truck along with many more drivers that should make for some great action at every event, plus we expect some top Riverhead Raceway trucks from time to time just to make it a little more interesting.
