August Fundraiser Set for Lowinski-Loh

John Lowinski-Loh Jr. will be moving to North Carolina in November to further his racing career. Lowinski-Loh will be holding a fundraiser in August for a test with Team BCR Racing. Team BCR fields ARCA Racing Series cars for Grant Enfinger and Justin Allison. Enfinger is the points leader with victories at Daytona, Mobile, Salem and Elko.

“My crew and I were just talking,” Lowinski-Loh said. “One of my crew members was saying let’s make the leap, so I spent days researching what the next best move would be. I applied for a ARCA license and contacted BCR, who were looking for a driver in 2015.”

“That depends on how the test day goes and sponsor money,” Lowinski-Loh said. “If the test day goes well, they will help me find a sponsor and go from there. Depending on sponsors, would depend on either 10 races, more or less.”

A Late Model competitor from Milford, MA, Lowinski-Loh described his season as up and down. The car was too free with no nose bite. He found problems with the car at Waterford Speedbowl last week, including a bent left rear shock from the Icebreaker . He has a new shock for Saturday’s race at Waterford.

“It should be a lot better and the suspension should work,” Lowinski-Loh said. “… I had to adapt to the conditions but now we should be back on track for some wins.”

Before leaving New England, Lowinski-Loh has plenty of racing left. He is second in points at Thompson and wants to win another track championship. He will also continue to race at Seekonk Speedway and Waterford Speedbowl. He has set a goal of a top five in the New Hampshire ACT race at in September. He will also enter the races that close the season, including Oktoberfest at Lee USA.

He will travel to the North South Shootout at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, NC. The ARCA test will be either the week before or after the November 1 weekend at Caraway.

Lowinski-Loh ‘s goal is “(To) make my dream come true with hard work and dedication, land this ARCA ride and move forward with BCR with a long healthy relationship.”

Lowinski-Loh would like to thank “My family, my crew members John Brooks, Brad Caddick, Sean Slattery, Ryan Kernier, Mike Barbrie, my brother Matty my friend and sponsors Auto Go, Inc., Pot Belly Pub, Shines Diesel Performance, Nat’s Racing Engines, SMG Motoring and Crazy Horse Race Cars.”

If more than $12,000 is raised, the donations will go to a cancer fund or the Jimmy Fund. The date and ticket information will be available on Monday. Tickets will go on sale next week.
