Snowball Derby to Broadcast Live on 51 TV

Speed51.com to Introduce 51 TV Signature Series at Five Flags Speedway

Pensacola, Florida — Race fans have been clamoring for live video of the Snowball Derby, the most prestigious asphalt short track racing event in the United States, for years. With tickets being sold at a record pace for this year’s race, a partnership between Speed51.com’s 51 TV online video network and Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida, will make December’s 47th Annual Snowball Derby available to a live worldwide audience.

51 TV will feature a live “Signature” broadcast of the historic 300-lap Super Late Model Snowball Derby on Sunday, December 7, as well as the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 on December 6 and all other preliminary feature event throughout Snowball Derby week. All events will air on a pay-per-view basis, with a four-day package that includes a live video broadcast of every feature event throughout Snowball Derby weekend available for just $54.99. The pricing options between single-day and the four-day package are at comparable rates to general admission tickets to witness the action in person at Five Flags.

“We want to be able to share the on-track action of the Snowball Derby with those folks that are unable to make the Pensacola trip fit their schedules,” said Five Flags Speedway General Manager and Snowball Derby promoter Tim Bryant. “Our successful alliance with Speed51.com over the years makes the 51 TV package the perfect solution. Although no broadcast can match the overall experience of being at the track, we think Bob Dillner and his crew at 51 TV can deliver the next-best thing.”

The live video broadcasts of the Snowball Derby will feature 51’s broadcast team, including NASCAR TV broadcaster Bob Dillner, multiple pit road reporters and ten camera angles to bring fans as close to the action as can be without actually being at Five Flags Speedway. While any live broadcast can not duplicate the excitement of the Snowball Derby, fans everywhere will have the chance to get closer to the action than ever through the live 51 TV broadcast.

“There are so many people who have told us because of their job, the current economic times or family reason that they cannot make it down to the Snowball Derby every year, so this is a chance for them to see it and hopefully they can attend again in the coming years,” said Bob Dillner, owner of Speed51.com. “This event is the most prestigious of the entire year and we hope to not only showcase that, but provide plenty of exposure to the racers and their marketing partners.”

The four-day pass to view all of the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100 feature racing action, plus Snowball and Snowflake qualifying events and feature races for the Five Flags Speedway’s Bombers, Sportsman, Super Stocks, Modified and Pro Truck divisions is the most cost-effective package. However, individual day passes are also available. Fans can tune in to Nash 102.7 Pole Night action, featuring time trials for the Snowball Derby and feature events for the Five Flags Super Stocks and Modifieds, on Friday, December 5 for $14.99. The December 6 Allen Turner Snowflake 100 qualifying and feature events, along with the Snowball Derby last-chance qualifier event and the Pro Truck division feature, is available on Saturday for $19.99. A single-day viewing ticket for the 47th Annual Snowball Derby on Sunday, December 7, is $24.99.

The only way to view the Snowball Derby feature events for the Five Flags Bomber and Sportsman divisions is to purchase the four-day 51 TV ticket for $54.99.

A 150-mile blackout range from Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida will be enacted to allow local fans to experience the Snowball Derby in person.

Fans can purchase the 51 TV four-day ticket or individual day broadcast passes now only on Speed51.com.

Additional details on the 51 TV Snowball Derby broadcast will be announced in the coming days.

Be sure to use Twitter hashtag #51TV and #SnowballDerby after purchasing the Snowball Derby video packages from 51 TV to tell friends and followers that you have a ticket to all the action December 4-7.
