Woodruff Motorsports Graduates to NASCAR & ARCA; WMS to Field #88 Entry in K&N Series

Columbia, SC — With the 2015 racing season fast approaching, teams are in the process of finalizing their plans and solidifying sponsorship deals to make the season opening races in Florida. Owner Darryl Woodruff and his Woodruff Motorsports team are no exception, but they are taking a slightly different approach.

“It has been a long off-season for the entire WMS team, but we have accomplished a number of goals on our checklist as we continue to work towards 2015 and beyond,” said Woodruff.

In December 2014, Darryl and his team participated in the ARCA Racing Series test at Daytona International Speedway in hopes of gaining approval to compete in the series for 2015. WMS Driver Kyle Lockrow was behind the wheel of the #7 Ford, and at the conclusion of the two-day test was 18th on the speed charts, earning the team’s approval from ARCA series officials.

Once receiving approval from ARCA officials, Darryl and his team continued to push onward and received approval from NASCAR to compete in their K&N Pro Series. The team will be fielding the #88 Entry for K&N Pro Series competition in 2015.

The tentative six-race schedule between two series for WMS includes events at Bristol in April (K&N), Pocono in June (ARCA), Loudon in July (K&N), Watkins Glen in August (K&N), Kentucky in September (ARCA), and Dover in October (K&N).

Sponsorship opportunities with WMS are available for the 2015 season. For more information, contact marketing@woodruffmotorsports.com or dwoodruff@woodruffmotorsports.com.
