Holleman made the announcement on his all-new website, which was also launched today by LN’s parent company STIX FX Entertainment, which can be viewed atwww.jhollemanmotorsports.com. He will also still race in Legends during the year (Summer Shootout) as well as other racing series.

John Holleman Set for NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Rookie and Championship Run

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (February 12th, 2015) – 17-year-old Winston-Salem, North Carolina, native John Holleman will enter his first full season of racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE), starting with the “Hart 2 Heart Breast Cancer Foundation 150” at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) on Sunday, February 15th. Holleman will attempt to contend for the Rookie of the Year honors as well as the season championship, driving the No. 49 Midway Mobile Storage Toyota.

Holleman, who started racing Go Karts when he was five years old, has already had an extensive racing career. He has amassed 167 victories and 19 different championships spanning across various divisions of racing, including Bandoleros, Legends, Four Cylinders, Street Stocks, Sportsman cars, and Limited Late Models.

In 2014, Holleman entered his first two NKNPSE races, including making his series debut at his home track of Bowman Gray Stadium.

“Last year we entered the Bowman Gray race and also the Langley Speedway (VA) race,” said Holleman. “We learned very quickly the level of competition in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is very steep. At Bowman Gray we ended up with some damage from a wreck that caused overheating, so it cut our learning experience a bit short. We decided to go to Langley Speedway and I learned a lot about how the cars handle and how to race in the series. I finished 12th in that race, but the most-important thing was completing all the 175 laps.”

Combined with only two races under his belt and the competition entering the series in 2015, Holleman knows he will have to be on his game. He has enlisted Greg Ely as his crew chief to help guide him during the season.

“I have seen the names of who will be competing in the series this year, and it is going to be a great battle for the championship and the rookie of the year title. The competition is going to be fierce, but Greg and I as well as the whole team are up for the challenge. We are looking forward to the first race at New Smyrna Speedway this weekend, and hopefully we can have a great showing in the No. 49 Midway Mobile Storage Toyota.”

Along with his NKNPSE full season of racing, Holleman will have a full schedule as he will also race in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Sportsman division at Bowman Gray Stadium, select races in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Pro Late Model division, and select races in the U.S. Legend Cars International / INEX Legends Car Semi Pro division, including the 2015 Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NC).
