PPMS April 18 Opening Night Winners

Precise RUSH Late Models

Justin Lamb and Josh Holtgraver put on a fierce battle for the lead until Holtgraver broke loose after several laps of door to door racing. Jared Miley was sneaking up on the duo as they battled, but brought out the first caution when he retired with heating problems. While Lamb & Holtgraver continued their battle up front, Charlier, Reft, and Moats were on the move. Charlier looked quick, but arrived in second a little too late to see if he had anything for Holtgraver. Mike Reft slipped by Lamb late to capture the final podium spot followed by Lamb & Moats. Moats & Holtgraver won the heats over Reft & Miley respectively. Several Precise RUSH Late Model drivers or team owners were roaming the pits, not quite ready to compete, but indicated they would be joining the Precise Late Model action at PPMS soon! Can’t wait…it’s going to be an awesome year of Precise RUSH Late Model racing at DIRTS MONSTER HALF MILE! The Late Model action starts “sizzling” with the first Precise RUSH Late Model Spring Sizzler May 2 featuring extra laps and payoff!

Miley BP Car Wash Hobby Stocks

Steve Pyeritz and Hannah Ramsey served notice they have plans to be the Hobby Stock teams to beat again in 2015. The 1, 2 point duo from a season ago battled the entire distance in this one with Pyeritz coming out on top. Some Young Drivers made their debut and did a nice job staying out of trouble as they gain valuable experience. Look for them to join the fun at the front as the season progresses. David Black had a nice run to finish 3rd, followed by Jacob Wiser and Karlee Kovacs, the 2014 Young Gun Phenom who has moved to Hobby Stocks.
