QUALIFYING: Raz To Lead Field At Roseville

Earns First K&N Pro West Pole

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Gracin Raz added another accomplishment to his impressive rookie season.

The 18-year-old for Lake Oswego, Oregon, won his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West 21 Means 21 Pole Award at California’s All American Speedway during qualifying for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch.

Raz piloted his No. 27 Montana Tech Ford to the top spot with a time of 13.713 seconds (87.421 mph). He was just .124 seconds off from breaking the track’s qualifying record set by Jason Bowles in 2009 (13.589 seconds/67.576 mph).

Ryan Partridge and his No. 9 Sunrise Ford/Eibach Springs/Lucas Oil Ford qualified second with a time of 13.731 seconds (87.306 mph).

James Bickford, Alex Schutte and David Mayhew rounded out the top five. While Noah Gragson, Blake Williams, Clay Green, Brandon McReynolds and Dylan Cappello completed the top 10.

Harrison Burton qualified 12th. The son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and current NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton, will become the youngest driver in K&N Pro Series history at 15 years, 8 days. He breaks the West record is by current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Cameron Hayley, who was 15 years, 23 days (Montana Raceway Park, Kalispell, Montana; Aug. 23, 2011); and the overall K&N Pro Series record held by NASCAR Next driver Jesse Little of 15 years, 11 days (Richmond International Raceway; April 26, 2012).

The green flag for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 is slated for 8:35 p.m. PT.
