Justin Haley Ready for NASCAR 150 on June 17 at Stafford Speedway

Stafford Springs, CT — Fresh off a fifth-place finish in the season opener for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, 16-year old Winamac, IN native Justin Haley was the highest finishing car of the 4-car HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks team that will campaign the 2016 season. Despite being only 16 years of age, Haley has already compiled starts in a wide variety of cars, tracks, and series, and he and his #5 Braun Auto team will add Stafford Speedway to his resume when the K&N Pro Series East hit the half-mile for the NASCAR 150 on Friday, June 17.

Haley began his racing career in 2008 at the age of 9 racing Quarter Midgets at Kokomo Quarter Midget Club (IN) where he continued to compete for the next several seasons, notching numerous wins. Haley moved to Restricted Micro Sprints in 2012 and then to the CRA Late Model Sportsman series in 2013 where he scored 4 top-5’s and 6 top-10’s in 7 starts to finish 7th in the final points standings.

The 2014 season saw Haley move to the competitive JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour where he scored his first ever Late Model victory at Springport Motor Speedway in Michigan. Although he didn’t run the full schedule, Haley managed to collect 5 top-5’s and 8 top-10’s along with one Fast Qualifier Award. The 2014 season also saw Haley make several starts in ARCA where he became the youngest pole winner in ARCA history by winning the pole position at Elko Speedway. In addition to races in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and ARCA Racing Series, the young driver secured two top 10s in five ARCA/CRA Super Series starts and one top 10 in three starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

For the 2015 season, Haley ran the full NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule behind the wheel of the #5 Braun Auto Chevrolet. Haley scored 6 top-5’s and 10 top-10’s in 14 races to finish 6th in the points standings. Haley also competed in the season-ending race for the K&N Pro Series West at Phoenix where he scored his first career pole position. Haley also made starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ARCA Series, and the TransAm Series. Haley’s best finish in the truck series was 7th at Phoenix and finished second in the TA2 category at Circuit of the Americas while setting a TA2 track record in the process.

With such a diverse racing background, Haley is looking forward to coming to another new track in Stafford Motor Speedway on June 17 for the NASCAR 150.

“I’m super excited to visit Stafford Speedway this 2016 season with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East,” said Hayley. “I’ve never been to the track in person but I’ve raced it on a simulator a few times and I absolutely love the configuration. I believe the K&N cars will provide great racing at Stafford Speedway for the fans and racers.”

In 2016, Haley returns to HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks in the No. 5 Braun Auto Chevrolet for his second full season of competition in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Haley will also be running select ARCA, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and TransAM events throughout 2016.
