ACT and VP Racing Fuels Extend Contingency Program

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and VP Racing Fuels officials announced today they have agreed to a three-year extension of their current partnership. VP Racing Fuels is entering its fifth season as the official fuel of ACT. The VP Fuels contingency program sponsors the Hard Charger Award for both the ACT Late Model Tour and the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsman division at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road.

The program awards three 54-gallon drums of ACT/VP “spec” racing fuel to the ACT champion. In addition, VP Racing Fuels also awards five free gallons of ACT/VP spec racing fuel to all Tiger Sportsman feature winners at Thunder Road along with one drum of VP C-9 spec racing fuel to the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsman champion. VP Racing Fuels also sponsors the annual Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 for ACT-type Late Models at Thunder Road on Thursday, July 14.

“VP Racing Fuels is very pleased to continue the relationship with ACT and its many affiliate tracks and programs,” VP Racing Fuels Northeast US & Canada Regional Manager Marc Wesler said. “We have watched ACT become innovative—implementing cost-saving measures for their race teams, and taking a leadership role in asphalt short track racing over the past couple of decades. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the race teams and ACT for many years.”

VP Racing Fuels C-9 ethanol-free unleaded is one of their best selling products. In addition to providing great power at a great price for racing engines, C-9 performs well in off-road competition snowmobiles, quads, and motocross bikes.

The 2016 ACT Late Model Tour season opens Sunday, April 10 with the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway. Post time for the 25th season of ACT Late Model racing is 1:15pm.
