PASS Super Late Models Get The 2016 Beech Ridge Season Started

PASS Super Late Models, Modifieds and INEX Legends in action this Saturday

Beech Ridge’s 68th season begins with the annual Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150

SCARBOROUGH – As has become a spring tradition, the Pro All Stars Series head into Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this weekend to open the 2016 season at the track.

The PASS North Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds, and INEX Legends will all be in action on Saturday, April 30, with racing action beginning at 3 p.m. The card is capped by the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150 – the first of three PASS North races at Beech Ridge this season.

Already, the PASS North Series has made history this season. First, Beech Ridge’s own Garrett Hall earned his first career Super Late Model win by taking the Icebreaker 75 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park earlier this month, and less than two weeks ago Ben Rowe held off DJ Shaw and Johnny Clark to win the Speedway Homes 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in one of the closest finishes in PASS history.

Multi-time PASS champions Clark and Rowe are already entered in the event, as are Beech Ridge track champions David Oliver and Reid Lanpher, Oxford 250 winners Mike Rowe and Glen Luce, Granite State Pro Stock Series champion Derek Griffith and the defending champion of the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 150, Bryan Kruczek.

Adult tickets for Saturday’s event are $25, with kids 12 and under FREE.

A practice session will be held on Friday, April 29, from 2-6 p.m. Grandstand admission is free for Friday.

Now in its 68th season of competition, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is Maine’s only NASCAR-sanctioned short track. In addition to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, which competes from May through September each season, the track hosts the 10-week Thursday Thunder series from June through August, and Car Wars on Friday nights in August.
