Doug Meservey, JR Planning To Race In SK Modifieds At Stafford Motor Speedway

Doug Meservey, JR is looking to race in the SK Modified division at Stafford Motor Speedway this season. He started out the season in the New England Pro 4 Modified division at the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park . The plans to race in the Pro 4’s are on hold as they are hoping to put an SK Modified together for this season

Meservey, JR and his family are no strangers to the racing community as his grandfather Dan Meservey, SR has been running in the New England Pro 4 Modifieds for many seasons and ran in the season opener at the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Dan, SR has a new motor in his car this season. The car that Dan Meservey, SR is running this season is the car Doug Meservey, JR ran last year. They went out and bought Cory Cleary’s old car. One of the things that Doug Meservey, JR has learned from his grandfather in moving up for a Limited Pro 4 Modified to a Pro 4 Modified is straightaway speed. “ In both cars I use no break. I just rolled through the corner so it’s kind of the same but the straightaway speed is a lot different especially here at Thompson.”

Doug Jr’s cousin Brett ran in the Limited Pro 4 Modifieds last season and will be moving up to a Pro 4 Modified this season. His father Doug Meservey and his uncle Dan Meservey, JR have run in the New England Pro 4 Modifieds as well as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Dan Meservey, JR will be racing in the Valenti Modified Racing Series this season. He is trying everything he can to race in the SK Modifieds. They are looking for help as the Pro 4 Modified is for sale
