Rain Forces Evergreen to Cancel Sunday Events- ‘Enduro MayHam’ Straight Ahead

St. Johns, PA (4/30/2016)- Due to ongoing rain storms, Evergreen Raceway has been forced to cancel their regular show that was planned for Sunday, May 1. The event boasted half-price grandstand admission for “Pack the Track” day. Track management has decided to choose another date for their “Pack the Track” promotion, which has been moved to Sunday, May 15.

Straight ahead for Evergreen is their third Enduro event of the year, called “Enduro MayHam”. The Enduro events have been popular with both drivers and fans this season and their latest show, which was hosted in early March, filled the grandstands and the pit area. The show in May is expected to be another fun filled and exciting day for Enduro lovers.

The track is hosting a $10 discount for pre-registration. The form is on the speedway website and must be mailed in, along with the $40 pre-registration fee. The deadline to mail pre-registrations is Monday, April 2.

Drivers will start the event as they register, so if driver X is the tenth to send in his or her registration, they will start tenth in their Enduro event. Drivers may also register at the track the day of the event for $50, and they will start behind the pre-registered drivers. The transponder rental fee is $10 and pit admission is set at $25. The pit gates will swing open at 9:00 AM. Children 12 years of age and younger are not allowed in the pit area until the races conclude.

The concession stand will be open for the duration of the show and as a part of the ‘ Enduro MayHam’ event, customers can purchase ham BBQs at just $2.50 each.

The grandstands are slated to open at 12 noon and grandstand admission is just $5. Children 10 years of age and younger will be admitted for FREE.

As done in the past, MoTorsport Video Production is offering a $50 CASH prize to the driver of the car with the coolest paint scheme in the 100s. This will be one overall prize (4-cyl. & 6/8-cyl. Mixed) and not one prize for each division.

The Four Cylinder car count in March surpassed a former track record and 127 cars took the green flag. The event was entertaining and exciting, yet the 1/3-mile track was a bit small for so many cars. Based from the majority of driver feedback, the track has decided to split the field in half for any divisions that has 100 or more registrants. If that does happen, that division will have two separate 100-lap shows and the two winners will then compete for the overall victory and a $100 bonus in a 10-lap ‘Dash for Cash’ race.

Evergreen Raceway is located minutes from Hazleton, PA, in between routes 93 and 309.
