Aluminum Wheels Permitted for NASCAR Sportsman Racers at Grandview in 2017

Annual Racer Flea Market Ready for Business on Sunday, November 6

BECHTELSVILLE, PA November 4, 2016 …….. The 2016 NASCAR stock car racing season was just recently completed at Grandview Speedway and changes are already being announced for 2017.

Track spokesperson Tina Rogers has announced that with the start of the new season aluminum wheels will be permitted for use by the NASCAR Sportsman stock car division.

Rules regarding weight for the three divisions of stock car racing will be discussed at a forthcoming meeting.

Additional news, regarding the new season, including the schedule, the 55th straight season of stock car racing, at Grandview will be announced in the near future.

The annual Grandview Speedway Racer’s Flea Market is set for Sunday, November 6 starting at 6:30 a.m. and running until 1 p.m. The event at the Bechtelsville, PA clay oval is open to the public free of charge. However, if you are planning to sell stuff then you will have to pay $15 for a space to set up shop. The flea market takes place rain or shine. It is open to all divisions of auto racing, vendors, collectors (who knows you may find a Honus Wagner collectible card) and dealers.

This is where race teams unload some parts and equipment left from the season and perhaps make a purchase of something that will be of help for 2017.

There will be food and refreshments available. For more information contact Joanne Bailey at 484.357.5506.

And you just never know what treasure you may come across at the flea market and it often turns out to be the opportunity to catch up with old friends or make some new ones.
