Weather Wins Red Miley Rumble at PPMS
Imperial, PA (April 29) Everything was ready for the start of the 2017 racing season at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, except for the weather. A last rain shower passed through in the early afternoon and it was a little too much, forcing the 2:00 PM postponement of the 11th Annual Red Miley Rumble, presented by Diehl Automotive. The event will be made up, and the rescheduled date will be determined at a later date.
The opening race of the 2017 season will now take place on Saturday, May 6, as it will be Wahl Family Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing Night. An “Action Event” will take place, featuring the Diehl Automotive Super Late Models, Precise Racing Products RUSH Late Models, Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, Young Guns, and Open Fours. Also on the card will be the first of five scheduled visits in 2017 by the Alternative Power Sources Allegheny Sprint Tour.
