YankeeRacer.com is a comprehensive news web site focusing on the Southern New England racing scene. Since its creation in 2002, the site has become a well-known media outlet in the region. The site offers news, results, standings and a wide variety of information about your favorite divisions and drivers. In addition, popular features on the site include weekly photo galleries capturing all the action and our latest multimedia addition: video clips. Taken together, YankeeRacer.com and its personnel have utilized their resources to provide the best experience we can to our viewers. Whether it’s just to check a track’s schedule or who took the checkers last weekend, we’ll be there for you to assist you either way.
Over the offseason, webmaster Nicholas Teto was honored with the prestigious Speedy Award for best series/track coverage at SpeedwayEXPO in West Springfield, MA.
Primarily, the four area tracks that receive coverage on this web site are in two states and represent a diverse group: from the 1/3-mile shoreline oval in Waterford to its cousin, the 5/8-mile Thompson Speedway up the road on 395. Connecticut, the Nutmeg State, features three weekly race tracks in Stafford Springs, Thompson and Waterford. The lone Bay State option is Seekonk Speedway, a mainstay of racing since it opened in 1946. As if covering four tracks every week wasn’t enough, this season we have also traveled to different venues including three in New Hampshire: All-Star in Epping, Twin State in Claremont, and New Hampshire Int’l Speedway in Loudon.
Furthermore, we provide coverage of the various regional tours that compete in the Southern New England region including the American-Canadian Tour Late Models, Allison Legacy North, American Race Trucks (ARTS), International SuperModified Association (ISMA), Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA), Pro All Stars Series (PASS), Pro 4 Modifieds, Race of Champions (ROC) Modified Tour, True Value Modified Racing Series (TVMRS) and the USAC Ford Focus Midget Series – Northeast. Given this wide scope, there won’t be a shortage of excitement, news or stories for you to view on any weekend.
