SEBRING, Florida (March 14, 2017) – It’s back to the business of racing for the No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R team after finally taking care of some seriously unfinished business seven weeks ago when it scored a resounding victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Oh, it’s been quite the seven weeks for brothers and full-time co-drivers Ricky and Jordan Taylor, who broke through to win one of worldwide sportscar racing’s crown jewels for the first time in their respective careers, helped send their family friend and longtime co-driver Max “The Ax” Angelelli on to retirement on a high note with his second career Rolex watch, and helped four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon achieve yet another career milestone.
This weekend, the Taylors set their sights on another of racing’s crown jewels – Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring – after a hugely eventful last seven weeks that included a celebratory visit on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina with Gordon, who treated them to a five-hour tour of the Hendrick Motorsports campus followed by a nice dinner.
LAKEVILLE, Conn. (Oct. 7) – General Manager Steven Sewell announced Lime Rock Park’s 2017 major spectator event schedule this morning, noting that it models 2016.
“Feedback from the fans was overwhelmingly positive with regard to having Pirelli World Challenge over Memorial Day weekend and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in July,” Sewell said. “The long-running Historic Festival is, of course, a Labor Day weekend staple at Lime Rock.”
At Lime Rock, the Pirelli World Challenge – tremendous, no-pit-stops sprint racing – features all eight PWC classes: GT, GTA, GTS, GT Cup, SprintX, plus the three Touring Car classes – TC, TCA, and TCB. GT is where manufacturers such as Cadillac, Acura, Bentley, Audi, McLaren, Ferrari, Nissan, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz all come to play. Many teams in the GT and GTS classes will also compete in two 60-minute “SprintX” races, with racing duties shared by two drivers.

Saturday, he celebrated the anniversary of his “Alive Day” with a victory in the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) race at Lime Rock Park.
Staff Sgt. Dwyer – who drives with a custom-made prosthesis that begins above his left knee – joined co-driver Tom Long in winning the two-hour, 30-minute IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at Lime Rock in a Mazda MX-5 prepared by Freedom Autosport.
