Short Track Super Series Set For Only 2018 New Jersey Appearance Sunday, April 29 On Bridgeport Three-Eighths-Mile

BRIDGEPORT, NJ – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco will make just one appearance in New Jersey this season.

And it will be a memorable one.

The all-new Design for Vision/Sunglass Central Speedway three-eighths-mile clay oval located inside South Jersey’s Bridgeport Speedway will host the powerful STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds and the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman on Sunday, April 29 for the ‘South Jersey Shootout’ event!

Melvin L. Joseph Memorial Short Track Super Series Contingency Award & Bonus Summary

GEORGETOWN, DE – The following contingency awards and bonuses were issued during the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Season Opener Saturday at Georgetown Speedway.

The weekend kicked off the STSS Velocita-USA Modified South Region and Crate 602 Sportsman South Region. Officially 48 STSS Modifieds and 51 STSS Sportsman entered the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial opener.

Watt A Race: Ryan Watt Makes Late Pass of Matt Sheppard to Win Georgetown Speedway Melvin L. Joseph Memorial $6,949 Short Track Super Series Event

GEORGETOWN, DE – Finally, after a handful of runner-up finishes at Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway, Ryan Watt outgunned Matt Sheppard to capture the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial on Saturday night, the series opener for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Presented by Sunoco.

Watt’s triumph was his fourth career win on the STSS tour, but his first at Georgetown Speedway in series history. The 2017 STSS Velocita-USA. South Region champion began his title defense with a win in the 50th race of the series’ history, and in the first of eight races scheduled for six tracks in the southern faction of the tour.

“We’ve been so close to winning here and got second every race here last year,” Watt said in Victory Lane. “It’s awesome to finally get over the hump.”

Vahlco Wheels Signs On For Short Track Super Series 2018 South Region Awards

MILLSBORO, DE — Competitors on the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Velocita-USA South Region will have another incentive to pass cars in 2018.

Vahlco Wheels has signed on to reward the Hard Chargers at all STSS Velocita-USA South Region Modified events, in addition to the competitor passing the most cars throughout the season.

At each STSS South Region event beginning Saturday, March 17 at Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway, the Hard Charger (driver passing the most cars from their scheduled starting position to the finish of the main event) will receive a $50 certificate toward the purchase of a Vahlco wheel.

Jeremy Smith Racing Sets Ambitious 2018 Short Track Super Series Schedule; Billy Decker Returns to Team

TRIANGLE, NY — Jeremy Smith Racing (JSR) has set an ambitious 2018 racing schedule.

Owner/driver Jeremy Smith will again chase points on the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco. Look for the Triangle, N.Y., driver to compete on the STSS Halmar International North Region – where he finished third in points last year – and the Velocita-USA South Region with his No. 46 Bicknell.

On a weekly basis, Smith will make a change of Friday night venues. For ’18, he will call Afton (N.Y.) Motorsports Park home in the track’s Modified ranks. Last summer, he raced regularly at Brewerton (N.Y.) Speedway.

Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled by Sunoco Roars into 2018 with Exciting Schedule

MILLSBORO, DE – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco is roaring into 2018.

On the heels of the most successful season to date for the series, STSS management has announced the 2018 big-block/small-block Modified schedule for the Halmar International North Region and Velocita-USA South Region.

The milestone 50th race in series history will kick-start ‘18 at Del.’s Georgetown Speedway on March 17 with the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial, a 49-lap event offering a minimum of $4,900 to win and $490 to start. A preliminary small-block Modified program has been added on Friday night (March 16), meaning teams will receive two paychecks for their trip south.

Short Track Super Series Announces ‘Night of Champions’ Awards Banquet Saturday, December 16 in Bethlehem, Pa.

BETHLEHEM, PA – The 2017 Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP ‘Night of Champions’ is set for Saturday, December 16.

The Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Conference Center in Bethlehem, Pa., serves as the backdrop for the year-end STSS celebration, recognizing the accomplishments of drivers in the Halmar International North Region, Velocita-USA South Region, and Sportsman series.

For the third time in his career, Sheffield, Mass., driver Andy Bachetti reigned supreme in the Halmar International North Region. He will receive $12,500 for his efforts.

Short Track Super Series Announces Four-Year Agreement With Sunoco/Insinger Performance; Overall 2018 ‘Grand Champion’ Could Receive $57,500

MILLSBORO, DE – The Short Track Super Series (STSS) announced on Saturday a four-year partnership with Sunoco Race Fuels to commence in the 2018 season.

The agreement will bring Sunoco Race Fuels sponsorship to the touring series and offer unprecedented bonuses to drivers competing in the series and at home tracks designated as part of the American Racer Cup, also a Sunoco-sponsored program.

The STSS/Sunoco partnership was orchestrated by Northeast distributor Insinger Performance of Dushore, Pa.

219 Competitors Enter Two-Day Event: Godown, Elliott Lead Winners

219 Competitors Enter Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend At Georgetown Speedway; Ryan Godown, Ricky Elliott and Duane Howard Lead Winners; Ryan Watt STSS South Champion

GEORGETOWN, DE – Two full days of racing brought more than 200 competitors to Georgetown Speedway for Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Ryan Godown (Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP Modified), Ricky Elliott (Super Late Model) and Duane Howard (Small-Block Modified) headlined the winners during the season finale event at the Sussex County facility.

Ryan Watt, meanwhile, secured the STSS Velocita South Region championship for the second time in his career. Watt will receive $10,000 for the crown.

It’s Title Time for STSS Halmar North Region: Bachetti Leads Perrego & Decker with $12,500 Championship Looming

MIDDLETOWN, NY – It’s ‘title time’ for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By VP.

First up: the Halmar International North Region.

On Thursday night, October 19, Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y., hosts the Behrent’s Performance Warehouse ‘Hard Clay Finale’ to bring down the curtain on the nine-race Halmar North Region. A $12,500 championship will be decided after 50 laps around the five-eighths-mile track.

Sheffield, Mass., driver Andy Bachetti currently leads the standings, on the heels of a second-place finish Saturday, October 7 at Afton (N.Y.) Motorsports Park during American Racer Cup Short Track SuperNationals 10.

Now, Taylor & Messick – one of the First State’s most highly respected and widely recognized businesses – has signed on to support the series events at both Delaware International Speedway in Delmar and Georgetown Speedway in Georgetown.

Taylor & Messick will serve as a presenting sponsor of both the return of the ‘Diamond State 50’ at Charlie Cathell’s Delaware International Speedway on Tuesday, Aug. 4 (rain date: Aug. 5) and the ‘Beach Blast 2’ at Georgetown Speedway Tuesday, Sept. 1 (rain date: Sept. 2). LAUREL, DE – As a racer, Scott Van Gorder made plans to compete on the 2015 Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region schedule.

As a businessman, he desired more involvement.

Van Gorder’s business, Scotty’s Speed & Diesel of Laurel, Del., has signed on as presenting sponsor of the series’ Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region, a five-race schedule set to kick off Sunday, April 19 (rain date: April 26) with the ‘South Jersey Shootout’ at N.J.’s Bridgeport Speedway.

The big-block/small-block Modified series also visits Big Diamond (Pa.) Speedway May 5, New Egypt (N.J.) Speedway June 11, Delaware International Speedway Aug. 4 and Georgetown (Del.) Speedway Sept. 1. A $19,800 point fund has been posted, with the champion receiving a minimum of $7,500 and $750 reserved for the 10th-place finisher. A number of product and contingency bonuses will be distributed, as well.

Bridgeport Speedway Kicks Off Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region Championship Race For 2015 Sunday, April 19; Rules Set, Registration Opens As Lucrative ‘South Jersey Shootout’ Nears!

BRIDGEPORT, NJ – It all begins in South Jersey.

The chase for the Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region championship opens on Sunday, April 19 (rain date: April 26) at Brian Ramey’s Bridgeport Speedway with the ‘South Jersey Shootout’ inaugural edition. The event will make history at Bridgeport, a wide and fast five-eighths-mile clay oval located just minutes from Delaware and Pennsylvania.

The ‘South Jersey Shootout’ will be headlined by the Short Track Super Series big-block/small-block Modifieds running 40 laps with a lucrative purse structure offering $5,000-plus to win, $1,000 for 10th-place and $400 to take the green flag. Who will strike first in the Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region, a five-race point series involving Bridgeport, Big Diamond (Pa.), New Egypt (N.J.), Delaware International and Georgetown (Del.) speedways?

The Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region will pay a minimum of $7,500 to its inaugural champion. The top-10 drivers will share in the series point fund which totals a healthy $19,800 for just five events. All drivers with perfect attendance placing outside the top-10 will receive $250.

Short Track Super Series South Region Inaugural Event Set For Sunday, April 19 At Bridgeport Speedway With ‘South Jersey Shootout’ Special; Two Tracks In Action As Modifieds Battle For More Than $25,000!

BRIDGEPORT, NJ – The spacious and state-of-the-art Bridgeport Speedway is set to play its part in history next April.

The five-eighths-mile facility will host to the first-ever event in the Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. South Region on Sunday, April 19, 2015 with the ‘South Jersey Shootout’ special. The tentative rain date is April 26.

The series, featuring big-block/small-block Modifieds will be comprised of five events run in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Short Track Super Series South Region, under the direction of BD Motorsports Media LLC, will be launched in ’15 following a successful six-race northern version contested in ‘14.

Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Set For 2015 Season With Expanded Schedule, North & South Regions Formed; $15,000 North Region Championship Set For Nine-Race Schedule, $7,500 Point Title For Five-Race South Region Schedule; $58,450 In Point Fund Cash Posted

BOYERTOWN, PA – After a successful inaugural effort that saw some 153 drivers take part in series events, the Short Track Super Series returns for an expanded second season in 2015.

Bolstered by new support of American Racer/Lias Tire and Hi-Tek Race Fuels, a rich Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek schedule has been outlined for the ’15 campaign by series organizer Brett Deyo of BD Motorsports Media LLC and participating track operators in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The series, primarily contested in New York State and the northern tier of Pennsylvania during its first season, has now grown and morphed into two regions: North and South.
