Bellm Notches Top-Five at Sedalia – ASCS Warrior Action at Moberly Next on Saturday

NIXA, Mo. (April 21, 2017) – Kyle Bellm and the Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) No. 14k Sprint Car team picked up some strong momentum by racing to a solid fifth-place Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour finish atop Sedalia’s ½-mile Missouri State Fairgrounds clay oval last Saturday afternoon.

With inclement weather already nixing this weekend’s Air Capital Shootout at Wichita’s 81 Speedway, Bellm and the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision team will take on the ASCS Warrior Region at Moberly’s Randolph County Raceway on Saturday night.

Last Saturday’s card at Sedalia started in unusual fashion with Bellm drawing a low number to start on the pole of the day’s first heat race.  Bellm took full advantage by picking up the heat race win aboard the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions mount to earn a spot in the redraw.

Continued Wet Forecast Forces 81-Speedway Officials to Call Off Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout

PARK CITY, Kan. (April 19, 2017) Officials at 81-Speedway have made the decision to call off this weekend’s rescheduled Park City Cup/Air Capital Shootout as this weekend’s forecast has not come below a 90 percent chance of rain on during Friday’s, April 21 opener, only to give way to a 50 percent chance on Saturday, April 22.

The race will not be rescheduled for a third time, but the dates for next year’s event have been announced for March 30-31, 2018.

“It’s hard to have to call of a race, but with the rain chances as high as they are, we’d rather have the race called early so the teams can find other options to fill their weekend,” said ASCS Red River Region director, Terry Mattox. “We’re already looking at the dates for next year and making sure we can co-sanction again.”
