NBCSN to Broadcast Championship Stretch Runs

Showcase for NASCAR K&N Pro East and West and NASCAR Whelen Modified Titles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 27, 2017) – NASCAR fans are watching Kyle Larson, Joey Logano and Chase Elliott battle in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series week in and week out, and NBCSN will again be the showcase of the next crop of drivers following in their path.

NBC and NASCAR announced today the remainder of the 2017 broadcast schedule, which will capture the championship races for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, as well as the newly unified NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

The next NBCSN broadcast will be Thursday, April 27, and will showcase Harrison Burton’s first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East win at Bristol Motor Speedway from this past Saturday. Burton is the son of former NASCAR driver and current NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton, and is a member of the current NASCAR Next class.

K&N Pro Series 2016 Schedules Announced

Twenty-Seven Races Set To Showcase Sport’s Rising Stars

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series has become the preeminent development proving ground for the sport’s future stars.

The 27 races on the 2016 schedule – from New England to Southern California, and from Washington to Florida – provides a comprehensive slate of venues and events designed to test drivers and showcase the best and brightest for NASCAR fans.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West schedules, announced today, comprise of 14 points races for each championship. It is highlighted by the annual meeting in the Heartland for the combination race at Iowa Speedway on July 29.

Raz Rallies For First Career Win

Last-Lap Pass Nets Teen K&N Pro West Race At Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Gracin Raz did everything he needed to do to keep his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West championship hopes alive.

The 18-year-old from Lake Oswego, Oregon, executed a last-lap pass Saturday night at All American Speedway to score his first career win in the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch.

Raz started third on a green-white-checkered and powered his No. 27 Montana Tech Ford past Chris Eggleston on the first lap and Alex Schutte on the final lap as a late caution pushed the race to 152 laps. Schutte was also bidding to become the third straight driver to score their first career win on the .333-mile oval.

QUALIFYING: Raz To Lead Field At Roseville

Earns First K&N Pro West Pole

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Gracin Raz added another accomplishment to his impressive rookie season.

The 18-year-old for Lake Oswego, Oregon, won his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West 21 Means 21 Pole Award at California’s All American Speedway during qualifying for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch.

Raz piloted his No. 27 Montana Tech Ford to the top spot with a time of 13.713 seconds (87.421 mph). He was just .124 seconds off from breaking the track’s qualifying record set by Jason Bowles in 2009 (13.589 seconds/67.576 mph).

PRACTICE: McReynolds Fastest at Roseville

Tops The Charts In Both K&N West Practice Sessions

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Brandon McReynolds is on the hunt for his third NASCAR K&N Pro Series West victory.

Based on the two practice sessions for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch, he has a good chance at accomplishing the feat.

McReynolds and his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota were the fastest in both practice sessions at California’s All American Speedway Saturday afternoon. He threw down the fastest time of the day early in the first session with a fast lap of 13.670 seconds (87.696 mph) and went on to lead the final practice session with a time 13.678 seconds (87.644 mph).

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West visits All American Speedway in Roseville, California, Saturday for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the series and selected drivers at Roseville, as well as some other statistical trends.

Roseville Race Setup:
• With only two races remaining in the season, Noah Gragson has a two point lead over runner-up Chris Eggleston (438-436), while Ryan Partridge is in third with 430 points.

• A new race winner and pole sitter will be crowned this weekend, no previous pole or race winners are scheduled to compete in the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150.

Burton Set For K&N Pro Debut At Roseville

Teenager Looks To Become Youngest Driver In Series History

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Harrison Burton, the teenage son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup driver and current NBC Sports NASCAR analyst Jeff Burton, will make his debut this weekend in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series driving the No. 12 DEX Imaging Toyota for Jeff Burton Autosports (JBA).
Burton has already made a name for himself as one of the youngest drivers to run late models. The three time USAC Quarter Midget National Champion continues to make history being one of the youngest drivers to accomplish the following: pole position qualifying run in his second Late Model race (age 11), two PASS Pro-Late Model wins (age 12), two World Series of Asphalt Pro-Late Model wins (age 13), and three Super Late Model wins (age 14).
Burton’s current Super Late Model primary sponsor, DEX Imaging, a privately held document-imaging dealer, will also be the primary sponsor of the No. 12 K&N Series Toyota this weekend at All-American Speedway. They will continue their long-standing partnership with JBA in both the Super Late Model and K&N Series throughout the remainder of the 2015 season and in 2016.

K&N Pro West News & Notes: Roseville

The Battle For The Championship In Full Force

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With only two races remaining in the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, the battle for the championship will be in full force at California’s All American Speedway Saturday.

The top three championship contenders are within eight points of each other, with Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Noah Gragson sitting atop the standings with 438 points. Chris Eggleston trails by two points while fellow rookie Ryan Partridge is eight points back.

Heading into the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch, neither of the three have raced on the .333-mile banked oval in Roseville, California, just outside of Sacramento.

A Decade Later, Lavallee Leads All American

Whelen All-American Series Division II-V Update

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — When Rich Lavallee decided he wanted to get back into stock car racing in 2010, he said so on Facebook. What social media did by coincidence was help him find a family heirloom race car. Now he’s driving it to Victory Lane for the first time in 10 years.

Lavallee wrote posts on Facebook asking friends in his area if they knew of any street stocks for sale. He sold his own car when he moved up a division five years earlier. He stopped racing at the end of the 2005 season and wanted back in. He won consecutive street stock championships spanning 2003-04 at All American Speedway in Roseville, California.

“A friend said he knew where my old car was and it was for sale,” Lavallee said. “I went to look at it the next day. When I saw it I knew I had to have it.”

2014 K&N West Schedule Announced

Fourteen Race Calendar Spans Seven States

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West opens and closes with its traditional Phoenix dates, and in between tackles some tricky ovals and battles on a pair of premier road courses.

A 14-race schedule that covers seven states and includes five companion events with NASCAR’s national series awaits the West portion of the top step on the NASCAR’s developmental ladder.

New to the 2014 slate is a return to one of the sport’s finest short tracks in Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway. The series also will make a visit to State Line Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho. Kern County Raceway Park has added a second date, as well.

Whelen All-American Changes Announced

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR announced several new initiatives for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Thursday at the annual Track Operators Meeting.

The competition changes, which go into effect in 2014, are designed to spotlight the sport’s young stars and reward the achievements of drivers at every level of the series. They were announced at the meeting, which was held in conjunction with the touring and weekly series awards ceremonies in Charlotte, N.C.

Starting next season, a national champion will be crowned in all five divisions of the series. In recent seasons, the Finalist Program honored top competitors in Div. II-V.
