2010 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown Schedule Announced

Daytona Beach, FL — NASCAR announced today that its premier short-track racing showcase, the 2010 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, will be run Jan. 29-30 at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.).

The sixth running of the event, which brings together the top racers from across North America for the ”Daytona 500 of short-track racing,” will be highlighted by the 225-lap NASCAR Camping World Series all-star race.

The schedule also includes a 100-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super Late Model race and a 75-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model race. Both nights of racing will air live on SPEED as part of full weekend of racing on SPEED that includes the Rolex 24 at Daytona sports-car event.

Star-Studded Entry List Set For Showdown

Irwindale attracts top short-track talent

With an entry list bursting at the seams with talent, the “Daytona 500 of short-track racing” should have no problem living up to its billing.

The NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown, considered the premier short-track racing event of the NASCAR calendar, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23-24, 2009 at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, Calif.

The weekend’s main attraction-Saturday night’s NASCAR Camping World Series race-had 62 entries as of Wednesday, and the list is a who’s who of the nation’s best short-track racers.

Carmichael Leads Schrader Trio To NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown

Daytona Beach, FL — To say Ricky Carmichael is a pretty big deal in Southern California may be an understatement. The man whose success earned him the title of ‘Greatest of All-Time’ in the motocross world had a great deal of his success on the West Coast.

When the 29-year-old Clearwater, Fla., native heads back to the Los Angeles area next weekend, though, it will be in a stock car. And he’s looking forward to treating his longtime fans to a glimpse of a new career at the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown.

“I’m pumped to be racing for my fans out there,” Carmichael said. “Southern California has been good to me. It’s a great market for supercross and it’s been great for me as well.

“I’m pumped for the fans in California to see what I’ve been doing – racing in the NASCAR Camping World Series – it’s a great series.”

Toyota To Sponsor Irwindale Speedway

Irwindale, CA — Irwindale Speedway celebrates its 10th anniversary on Saturday, March 22 kicking off its NASCAR schedule of events and officially announcing a multi-year naming rights sponsorship program with the Southern California Toyota Dealers Advertising Association (SCTDAA) and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. in which the Speedway will be renamed TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.
