3515280201 07567663f3 m Former Maine ISMA Driver Dan Osmeloski Passes AwayOn Tuesday, May 5th, Dan Osmeloski passed away peacefully at the age of 54, following a long battle with cancer. Dan had a lifelong passion for motorsports, which began from an early age growing up on Long Island, New York, and going to the local tracks. He spent time building race cars and pit crewing for familiar in modified racing, such as George Brunnhoelzl, Bob Parks, and knew others in that generation of racing well. In 1987, Dan and his family moved to Maine, and he spent several years racing at Wiscasset Raceway and Oxford Plains Speedway, driving everything from the super stocks to limited and late-model sportsman divisions over the next decade.

Then he discovered the thrill of driving winged supermodifieds when he bought a small block 350 super to race at Star Speedway in Epping, NH. When that wasn’t fast enough, he moved on to racing an ISMA big block. Of all the racing circles he’d been a part of over his lifetime, being involved with the ISMA organization was one of his favorites due to the close-knit sense of community among the fellow racers, crews and ISMA officials.

PASS North Super Late Models at Wiscasset Raceway Sunday

Can Johnny Clark make it four in a row at the Center of Speed?

Naples, ME — The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models get back in action on Sunday June 15th for the Steel’s Real Rods and Custom 125 and the biggest question amongst PASS north fans is, who can stop Johnny Clark at Wiscasset Raceway?

Clark is on a three race PASS hot streak at Wiscasset that dates back to August of 2007. But Travis Benjamin gave Clark all he could handle in the Ray Haskell Ford 125 back in May, crossing the finish line half a car length behind the two time PASS super late model champion. Adam Bates, Ben Rowe, D.J. Shaw, Cassius Clark, Kelly Moore and Scott Chubbuck all showed plenty of speed in the Wiscasset PASS opener as well, so there will be plenty of challengers to Clark’s recent dominance. There’s a guaranteed spot in the August 17, $30,000.00 to win Toyota Tundra 250 on the line for the race winner so there’s added incentive to race home first on Sunday.
